The One Nation Movement (ONM) strongly backs the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) as it prepares public participation forums to finalize strict campaign spending ceilings ahead o
f the 2027 General Elections.
Following decisive legal updates confirming the commission's mandate, the IEBC is moving to curb the runaway cost of politics and prevent "dirty money" from hijacking Kenya's electoral system. For decades, unregulated political spending has marginalized brilliant youth, women, and visionary leaders who cannot compete with the bottomless bank accounts of the elite class.
Levelling the Playing Field
As a Progressive Pan-African Social Democratic party, ONM believes that leadership should be won on the strength of ideas and manifestos, not the size of cash handouts. The upcoming IEBC regulations will introduce critical compliance checks, limit anonymous donations, and cap total election expenses per seat.
Our Interim Leadership Hub issued a strong rallying cry to our members nationwide:
"The era of plutocracy—where the wealthy buy leadership and recoup their 'investments' through corruption—must come to an end. ONM stands fully behind the IEBC's structural reforms. We urge all our youth leagues and grassroots members to turn out in large numbers for the upcoming public participation forums to protect the integrity of our votes."
ONM is Ready
While older political cartels scramble to adjust to these transparent rules, ONM is already ahead of the game. Our digital-first infrastructure guarantees complete transparency and financial accountability, positioning us as the premier platform for clean, transformative governance.
